Tis' the Season

Yea!!!!!  I am finally caught up!  So after Thanksgiving we decorated our house; inside and out.  Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year!  I have been listening to Christmas music since before Halloween.  I know it's wrong and every holiday should have their time but I can't help it.  I love the spirit, the music, the lights, my daughters face, and well everything!  It definitely took me longer to decorate this year considering but it is up.  The mantle, the banisters, and six trees!  Jason did awesome on the lights outside as usual and I even now know how to rewire Christmas lights!  Add that to the list of changing sprinkler heads, etc.
Daddy, Avery and their gadgets.  She loves the train daddy got her and she works the remote pretty good!

Avery is going to be............

A BIG SISTER!!!!!!!!!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a new bundle of joy coming in June of 2013!  I found out right after we got back from our Disney World trip and Jason had just left for work.  I kept the news to myself for two weeks until he came back home.  It was killing me, but I knew he would want something special.  Not just a phone call.  I had bought a card several months ago about time apart in regards to his long jobs that I thought one day I would sneak into his bag as a surprise.  So I thought this would be the perfect way to tell him!  I took the below pictures of Avery and she did a card for daddy as well.  When he got home I gave him my card, which mentioned nothing of the news, and then he opened Aves card.  It had the pictures of her sharing her surprise and the pictures of the seven tests I took.  It took us so long to get pregnant this time that I was not convinced.  He said, "Are you joking?  Are you serious?"  And so it began!  The thought of a family of four. I have been really sick since week five and I have been on nausea medicine since then.  And I am still getting really sick to my stomach, occasionally getting sick.  My birthday fell on my 10 week so we thought that would be a perfect time to share with our parents and siblings.  We had them over for dinner and after everyone got there Jason changed Avery's shirt.  The shirt said "BIG SIS" and when she came out wearing the shirt and carrying the pictures of the sonogram they went crazy.  Unfortunately Avery was sick and did not want to cooperate, but it was a great evening regardless.  My cake Jason got me was even in theme!  Blue and Pink!  That was our story in a nut shell!  I will say this disclaimer:  I do believe that when you have your second, because you already have a little to tend to, you are so much more tired and exhausted and being sick with headaches has not helped.  Jason is amazing and has been mom and dad on many occasions.  We feel blessed, over joyed, and super excited to grow our family!
My favorite!
Sweet girl is so excited!

New Look Same Team

We are still the Bruisers but our shirt color changed for the Winter season.  Avery had her first game this season on December 1st and she did great!  She made four goals and told us she made one for mommy, one for daddy, one for her baby in mommy's belly, and one for her baby doll.  Sweet girl!
Hair had to be down because we had to make a mad dash to Breakfast with Santa right after her game!  So that is why she looks like the prissiest little soccer player I have ever seen!
Focused on the ball!
Headed down to score.

Water break and team huddle.
I had sympathy for the team we played.  They had almost every parent out on the field trying to get their kids to play and we only had our two coaches.......that was our team during the Fall season.  So we actually felt like we made some progress with getting the kids to play without us!

RAIDERS vs. bears

The weekend after Thanksgiving we went with my Dad and Lindsey to the Tech vs. Baylor game.  The game started out in our favor and slowly fell apart.  Although we did not win it was a great game and Avery was so very good!  She watched the cheerleaders and the dancers and kept telling us she wanted to do that.  She held her guns up and cheered on the Raiders!  The only other Tech game she has ever been to was against the Bears and at least we won that game!  Us Raiders like to think we gave them that game so at least they could go to a bowl game.  We were already eligible!
Our beautiful little Raider!
Ready to leave!
The awesome stadium or as Avery called it, the space ship!
Family of Raiders!
Ready to cheer!
She even watched the screen!  It was hard not too!
Getting ready to start.  We even saw the Meadors in a couple of sections over from us.
Nothing like the Goin' Band from Raider Land!

Papa loved this!
Wish we could have done this when I was on the team!
Eating her Raider sucker.
And she is out!  We had so much fun!  Thanks Mom and Dad!

Give Thanks

Some what late, but I am catching up with a lot of things.  Thanksgiving was super busy as usual.  Our day started with lunch with Jason's side of the family in Wylie.  It was quite a get together, as in like fifty plus people there.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of all the tables and food.  There was a ton!  It was his great aunt and uncles house and most of the family there was from his great uncles' side.  We knew a hand full!  Nonetheless is was really enjoyable and Avery had fun.  She found a "tractor" aka riding lawn mower and was set!  She is just like me and loves being outdoors.  I however did not feel very good so there are very few pictures which is unlike me.  After lunch we headed home to prepare for my family!  We had fourteen at our house and it was really nice.  I love to host things but it made for a long day.  After dinner and clean-up we sift through the ads for Black Friday and planned our night.  We were finished up by two and in bed.  It was a short night but there was not much to do considering we were finished with Avery's shopping already.  Thanks Dad for staying at the house while our little angel slept!  She was so tired after a long day!
Look what I found!
So happy!
Her place setting at our house!
Family of almost four!
Precious zoned out Avery!
Not really wanting to give me a good smile.
She will smile for bread though!

We hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving!
