Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday, June 9, 2013, Jason and I celebrated six years of marriage!  We have so much to be thankful for; 15 years together, 6 years of marriage, and two baby girls later and we still feel young at heart!  We are each others best friend and partner in life and I could not think of a better man to spend it with!  God truly blessed us when He led us to one another.  We like to think we celebrate our life together everyday, not just on our Anniversary so in a few months we plan to take a trip just us!  I'm looking forward to it!  I know I will miss my babies like crazy, but it is a much overdo trip.  With our jobs the last two years there has been no time.  I love our life together and can't wait to see what the next step holds for our family!

Jason is all about surprises and this is what he surprised me with yesterday.  It not only is a special stone to me (Tri Delta), but it is also Ansley birthstone.  Our girls know how to do it right, Avery is a diamond and Ansley is a pearl!  I love it so much!

Happy 6th Anniversary!
I love you so much!

Lil Momma

Avery has been practicing and waiting patiently for her baby sister!  So funny!  I love her imagination!

Summer is Here

Summer has started at the Glover House and we have been enjoying our time together.  Since Jason took his new job with Stryker life seems to be back to what we consider normal.  We had our families over for Memorial Day for a big cook out, Avery saw her very first big girl movie "Epic", we have done lots of swimming and watermelon eating, celebrated Wuwu's 23rd Birthday, and went to the Ranger game!  I found this super cool melon cutter at Sam's and my parents got one for me.  Yes I get excited about kitchen gadgets!  Avery will literally eat her way in watermelon through the summer so it comes in handy.  I cannot express how nice it is to have my family together every night whether it is eating dinner at the table, walking the block, going down to the park, taking a late night dip in the pool, or going to Jason's softball games.  There is a piece of me that has been filled back up and I love the feeling of contentment.  In the meantime we are patiently waiting for our sweet baby Ansley and hoping she comes soon. If nothing happens over the weekend we will for sure get to meet her June 11th!  The last month has been really tough and I am ready to have her in my arms.

Her favorite Sopapias at Chuy's!  Mommy was trying to eat spicy foods!

We have lots to look forward to in the coming month!  The arrival of our precious little girl and our sweet Avery becoming a big sister, our nieces and nephew coming in from South Carolina for two weeks (we have not seen then in a year and Avery is super pumped to have them to play), and then one of my best friends is getting married in Lubbock!  We can't wait to see Jenn wearing white and take the girls to Red Raider country (one of many for Ave, but Ansley's first)!

Just a few randoms.....

Finally got Ansley bedding and hung a few things on the wall!  If you would have asked me if it would have taken me this long to get going on her room I would have said "no way"!  Well, just a few weeks left and here we are!!!!!!!!  Slow moving on #2!
Sweet girl!  An outfit from Grammy for her Birthday!  Love it!
Beautiful Avery enjoying lunch with just her Momma and Daddy!  Soaking up our time!
I've been meaning to post these pictures!  I scanned a ton of photos from my grandparents house and came across this pic of me eating corn, which I still love and loved as a kid.  Well my Avery loves corn too!  Couldn't resist posting a side by side!

Last Day of School

I find it crazy that this year has come to a close.  Avery has changed and grown so much this year.  Her personality has become more like a little lady, her vocabulary blows me away, and her imagination is wild!  She loved her teachers, loved going to school, and keeps telling me today is her last day of school!  Silly girl!  Looking at these pictures makes me realize that each year is going to get harder and harder as I see how she changes so much.

Her class picnic outside!  She thought this was so cool!
Her End of the Year party on Thursday, her last day of school!
 She didn't even see me!
 My precious baby!
 Loving the pizza and strawberries!
One tired momma after graduating all her kiddos and a very tired Avery ready for her Nana to pick her up.

Mother's Day 2013

To the most wonderful mother I know.  I love her so much and she has shown me what unconditional love is.  I am thankful to have such a wonderful example to follow and learn from.  I love you MOM!
I thank God everyday for blessing me with Avery and baby Ansley (coming soon) giving me the greatest title I will every carry: MOM.  My little girl is pure joy and there are still times I hear, Momma, and I have to stop to realize she is talking to me.  Still such a surreal time in my life and I love the good times, the hard times, and I look forward to the times to come as a mother of two!
My sweet card Ave made at school for me!
I will treasure this card forever!  She thinks I am her "Big Big Momma"!
I got two flower pots with my sweet baby's face as the center and two book marks!  The book was from my class as my end of the year gift.  The book is so special!  I love it!  The moms were afraid I would not make it last week!  Well I am still going strong as a party of two!  And Daddy and Ave got me a beautiful Origami Owl necklace that I absolutely love!

Babies in the Belly

My cousin Jennifer and I are exactly three months apart.  Obviously having the second you "pop" quicker!!!!!  The last picture we did not know what she was having but with great joy I can say that Mason Mills Thorndike with join us in September!  Sweet baby boy!  So happy for them!

Happy 3rd Birthday Sweet Avery

Happy 3rd Birthday Princess Avery!

I cannot believe my baby is three years old.  Where has the time gone?  Everything about her makes us smile or laugh.  She has such a big personality and knows exactly what she wants.  Her imagination has come full circle and you never know what she is going to say.  She is convinced that she is a mommy, her name is Ashwee, and she has two kids that conveniently live in her real little sisters' room upstairs.  Her kids celebrate birthdays, cry for their mommy (her), and talk.  Half the time I am not sure what Mommy she is referring too.  She is a little negotiator about everything and can really test our patience.  Set aside her normal little girl moments she is an awesome kid.  She is respectful, polite, and so loving.  Most of the time she is an excellent listener too.  Each year that has gone by and at every birthday party I find myself filled with such emotion.  This year was more of a struggle due to already being so sensitive.  I am so thankful to the good Lord that our baby girl is healthy and growing but at the same time I am overcome with sadness that she is growing so fast and becoming such a big girl.  She is my shadow, best friend, and I look forward to seeing how our relationship grows between us.  Then, before you know it, I will have two shadows!  I will say though, Avery is thrilled to be a big sister and talks to my belly all the time.  She tells Ansley to come out and play, sings to her, and occasionally plays the drums on my tummy.  My hopes for our girls are to be best friends, share everything with each other, and have a bond like no other.  I was so glad to have such a great birthday for our little princess.  Minus the crazy present opening with all the kids and trying to keep track of all the gifts, everything was great.  I guess Avery thought her friends were going to open her presents for her, and some did, so she was running around like crazy from present to present.  After everyone left we let her finish and it was much more smooth and calm.  Mommy needed that!  Thank you to everyone who came!  You made her day that much more special!

Birthday girl at school!
Her class celebrated her with cookies and a little party!
Birthday donuts Daddy got her.  Obviously he got her all her favorites and I promise she did not eat all of them.  She would have been out of control!!!!!!
The Birthday Girl!  Word to the wise; NEVER use glitter tulle in a tutu.  We finally called the tutu a wash because my house was covered in glitter......not good.
 Princess Jump House
The yummy cake!  One of my parents made this along with the cake balls and cookies!  Everything was delicious!  I may have to order more cake balls just because!
Her Royal Invitation
The awesome cookies we did for party favors along with the glow stick swords and wands!
 Family of almost 4!
Not sure what the deal is with putting her hands in her mouth when she is embarrassed, but this is all the pictures!
Blowing out her candles!
Sunday after church she got some more jump time it!  We had the bounce house all afternoon.
 Love this picture!

Curious Little Neighbor

I decided to enter Avery into a photo contest, Child At Play, with one of my moms from my class.  She took my maternity pictures and I love her work.  We were sitting outside and why I had my camera I'm not real sure but I caught the perfect moment of Avery creeping on our neighbors.  They have a new dog and she runs to the fence every time she hears them!  Too cute!  I loved the picture when I looked back at and it fit the requirements for the contest so we will see!

Baby Belly

Ok, I so hesitated to post any pictures of my belly.  Yes, I love being pregnant, but at the same time I feel rather "grande" and never did maternity pictures with Avery.  I felt so guilty after having her and decided that with my next pregnancy I would totally embrace the change my body has gone through and just go take pictures.  One of my student's mother is a photographer and wanted to do them.  So, these are some of the pictures Jason caught while she was shooting.  I'll post a few professional shots once I get them.  I am proud of my baby bump, but boy was it hard to get down on the ground and look "cute" to take pictures.  Thank goodness for the cuteness of our precious Avery!

 Cheesing!

She just wanted to cuddle.  We were trying to get her to stand and look at the camera behind me.  This is what we got!

 Holding baby Ansley Grace!
It was quite chilly on this particular morning and Avery had it all over her face!
My sweet girl!  Hard to believe that I will have two miracles pretty soon!

Super cute guy we hired to block the sun!
Warming up and a happy girl!

We bribed her with her dolls!  Big girl and baby!
Her happiest is with her "babies"!  Such a little momma!
Avery, our almost 3 year old that brightens our day and puts so much love in our hearts!
