Weekend Fun

This past weekend we went up to Sherman to spend the day with my parents!  After getting our fix of MJ's we went out to Club Lake to see my grandparents.  My grandmother's 75th Birthday was yesterday and her two sisters and brother came in from Nebraska!  We played washers, went out and shot trap (which I now love), shot Jason's new rifle, rode Avery's four wheeler, played a little soccer, and then called it a night after cooking out and birthday cake!  It was a fun day and both the girls were out before we got to Hwy 82 to head home!
 Avery playing washers with Daddy!

She rode with Papa, Nana, mommy, and daddy!
 Getting a little practice
After two rounds I finally got the hang of it!
Baby girl stayed in the truck with Nana!
My parents!  Love them so much!
Jas trying to sight in his rifle.  When I shot it, the darn scope hit my glasses and I thought I broke my face.  It did not feel good.  The 380 was much better!  No kick.
Love this man.

Happy 7 Month Birthday

Happy 7 Month Birthday Beautiful Ansley!!!!!

Here we are at 7 months.......how is this possible.  How is my baby already over a half a year old and growing like crazy.  Pictures are my evidence that she is getting so big.  I will skim through my phone and find a picture of the girls months back and sit there and cry at how big they are getting.  Ansley now has her two bottom teeth and chews on everything.  And everything goes to the mouth which has been awful because of all the crazy flu, RSV, and croup going around.  We were the winners of croup on New Year's Day which landed us in Urgent Care.  She was a trooper and only sounded horrible for a few days and we made a speedy recovery.  Since all of that, we have had some rough nights of sleep.  It is like she can't get comfortable or that she can not breath.  Things seem to be getting back to normal though.  Thank goodness.  This momma and daddy need their sleep, especially daddy who gets up to go to work!  Other than that she laughs, smiles, and giggles at her sister most of the time.  I have mentioned it before, but Avery can make Ansley smile bigger than any of us.  I can't wait to watch their friendship grow as sisters!  Avery informed me this week that we could give all of Ansley's baby toys away to people who needed them and she would share her big girl toys with her.  Then she told me that we could get rid of sister's room and Ansley could sleep with her!  Avery is such a sweetheart!  Maybe when Ans gets bigger is what I told her!  She had to think about that for awhile!  If there was a division of speed crawling in the Winter Olympics, then Ansley Grace would be a contender!!!!!  That kid is faster than lighting!  And determined like no other!  It cracks me up to watch her speed around the house.  She is after everything in the walls, cords, pulls up on everything, and makes me a nervous wreck.....all dangerous stuff.  We have been sitting up for a little over a month now.  I love her smiles, her giggles, and her vocals she makes at us.  It is like she is yelling at us!  And the face she makes while doing it is hysterical.  Such a happy girl!

She was not so happy when we had her 7 Month Milestone pictures taken by our sweet friend Jill Ann.  She acted like she was terrified of the camera, which I have in her face all the time, and she scream the entire time.  After two hours, three locations, and many distractions we got some beautiful pictures!  Thank you for your patience Jill Ann!

Where's the snow?

If we are going to have this unusally cold January/Winter where this happens and ponds freeze over then where is the snow.  I can live without ice, but I would love snow!  That's all.

Christmas with Papaw

Avery picked this out for Papaw and wants him to wear it everytime he goes fishing up at his place in Colorado!

Christmas Day 2013

Christmas morning and day were a little different this year.  Jason was on call at the hospital and got called in Christmas morning.  Long story short, we woke the kids at 7am to see what Santa had brought and then had breakfast together.  Daddy had to go to work and when he got home we opened presents!  Not our normal but we made it work.  I am use to this kind of thing!  Nana spent the day with us because Papa was away at work.  Ave and Nana watched movies, played and we all just hung out.  It was nice.  Though, I did miss our normal afternoon with Jason's family and then the evening with my family.  Next year will be back to normal!  The kids got lots of goodies and Avery loved everything......the electric toothbrush and clothes were even a hit!  Lindsey and Zach came over that night for a quick visit and had dinner with us.  It was a very relaxing day but missed our traditions this year.  The most important thing is we celebrated as a family when everyone was together....doesn't matter the day, just matters that we were all together.
Our family!  Love seeing all four up!
Pinterest gave me this idea!  Mr. Elf brought the girls a special book, "Santa is coming to Texas", picked them out special pajamas, and even wrote them a letter.  He left a special cup for Avery and hot chocolate to enjoy Christmas Eve!  In his letter he told them he couldn't wait to see them next year and see how much they have grown!  It was so cute!  And the book was precious!
 Leaving the reindeer food outside!
 Cookies and milk!
 Checking out the new bike!
Love this picture because of Ansley in the bottom corner....it's like she got caught doing something wrong!
Yea Daddy is home and we can finally open presents!  Ansley ate paper most of the time!
 Starting her young!

The scooter was quite a hit as well!
Sister loved watching Ave go back and forth!

Love how Ansley is looking at Avery!  So precious!
Avery is the BEST big sister ever!  So caring and always watching out for Ansley!
Sweet girl!

Our Lil' Raiders

And a victory it was!  Our Red Raiders won their bowl game in which they were predicted to lose by 22!  So the girls wanted to support Coach Kingsbury with their Ray Bans on!
