Orange Beach, Alabama

At the end of July Jason and I took the girls to Orange Beach, Alabama.  It was a wonderful get away.  We literally hung out at the beach, went to a few souvenir stores, ice cream one night, and the go cart track another night.  It was so laid back!  We absolutely loved watching the girls play on the beach, catch crabs at night in the net, and collect shells!  We met some of the nicest people and are already planning our next trip!

Our water babies.

They thought this was the coolest thing!

And mommy was a good sport too!

Jelly fish out on the pier.  Unfortunately Avery got stung the last day.....she handled it like a champ!

And tons of dolphins!

Meeting Zeus.....Surprise

So Zeus was a surprise to the girls!  It was awesome!!!!!!  We bought him prior to our trip to Alabama and came back early to get him.  He flew from Oregon to Seattle to Dallas and we left the house at 5:45am to go pick something up "for Daddy"!  He came in so early due to heat restrictions with the airlines.  We drove to Alaskan Airways at DFW (20 mins. away) and totally pulled one over on the girls!  Avery's face says it all!  I cried and the girls were so excited.  I have wanted this pup for quite sometime and the timing was perfect.  I grew up with big dogs and I wanted them to have a dog to grow up with.  Maddie is still unsure of the whole situation.  She hides from him, steals his toys, and wants nothing to do with his attempt at playing!  I just laugh!

Zoo Fun with Friends

A few weeks ago we spent the day with three of my friends from college and their kiddos at the Fort Worth Zoo!  We always have so much fun catching up and talking all day long!  We looked at the animals, at lunch, and then took advantage of the waterpark at the zoo now!  So much fun!  Love you girls!
