When it rains, it pours...............

So today justifies and adds to the list of "Why I want the year 2009 to be done and gone". So Jas and I go to the movies to watch "Time Travelers Wife" and with only 20 minutes left, the movie melts and they are unable to fix it. The screen goes completely white. So we leave and get our money back thinking that lunch will make up for the movie. We walk into our regular weekend hot spot, "Chuy's" and there is a 45 minute wait. Might I remind you there is no one waiting and there are tables empty everywhere. I politely asked why such a long wait and they reply, "Our kitchen asked us to limit tables". So, once we finished eating and returned home, the topper on the cake hit me, a terrible headache. So I spent two and half hours lying in bed trying to rid myself of the pain. Now I know many of you are thinking, "Wow, this has ruined her year?". I promise there is more to my frustration then a melted movie and a long wait at Chuy's. Sometimes you feel like with ever corner you turn there is a wall and when it rains, it pours; well that is how I felt today. But this is one of those posts that I just needed to vent.

Another archive from July. On July 18, 2009 my younger cousin Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Blake Thorndike, in Plano, Texas. It was a beautiful wedding and Jason and I want to congratulate them both. May God bless you with health and happiness throughout your life. Here's to the Thorndikes!!!!!

D-I-R-T

I had to title this post appropriately because that is pretty much all I ate while four wheeling in Red River, New Mexico; DIRT. Jason and I spent five days with his dad, Teresa, and his brother up in the mountains riding a total of 153 miles on four wheelers. My dad also got the opportunity to meet us up there for two days. He only works two and half hours from Red River. I really enjoyed spending time with him. He was like a kid in a candy store loving every minute of it. We had dirt in our ears and wore dirt sunglasses even when we took our glasses off. We covered so many trails and saw some truely beautiful landscape. We rode to Goose Lake which is an amazingly beautiful spot located 8 miles up the mountain. The weather was in the 70s during the day and 40s during the evening. We also got to go see The Gorge. Wow. We all had a blast and miss the cool weather!

Jason's belated birthday post :(

So this is extremely late, but things have been really busy and hectic at our house. With football starting and cheer camp I have not had time to sit at the computer and update things. Good news is, I am starting to mark things off slowly but surely. So Jason's birthday was July 21, 2009 and we celebrated with just he and I. I took him to his favorite steak house "Saltgrass" and we came home and had cake. He had to work that day so we only had the evening together. It was low key and relaxed and that is what he likes. Every year we have a running tradition with his birthday present. I always get him the NCAA Football game for whatever game system he has. (I always forget and have to get a gift receipt) Anyway, this year I got him "Tiger Woods" and he loves it. As does our neighbor. So to my wanna be golf star, I love you babe and I am glad you had a wonderful birthday.
