First Soccer Game

Saturday, September 15th was Avery's first soccer game.  She is playing on a little team through Blue Sky Soccer Center in Allen.  Their colors are black and blue and their team name is the Bruisers!  All she has talked about the last couple of months is playing soccer and when I tell her to put on her teeny shoes she says, "No mommy those are soccer shoes!".  Too cute!  The only bummer was that daddy and Papa could not be there.  They are both at work.  She did great!  She scored a goal on FIVE boys!  I was so proud and really had fun watching all those two years old "play".  It was quite entertaining!
Ready to play!
Walking onto the turf!
Hand on hip!  Now tell me again what I am suppose to do mom.
Maybe I'll just sit here and roll it in.
Concentrate.
Getting a pep talk from her coach!
Warming up!
She listened to the ref when she said to stand on the white line.  But let's try standing on our side!
Getting to know the other team.  I guess she was trying to get their game plan because the blonde little guy was super good and the brown headed little boy liked to steal the ball.
Water break.
Avery liked the other teams goal..........not to kick the ball in but to play in the net.  Awesome!
Getting ready to kick the ball!
Shaking the other teams hands!  At this age they don't keep score but the other team looked as if they had been secretly practicing!  They looked like they knew what they were doing!
Mommy and Ave.  Missing Daddy:(  But momma was so proud!
Avery's cheering team!

Weekend Fun

The weekend cool front brought lots of fun this weekend!  We love being outside but the heat has really put a damper on that here lately.  Not this weekend!
It's Game Day!  Wreck'em Tech!  Raiders had a good weekend and for all those Tech haters, a win is a win!
Jason's dad was camping at Lake Texoma earlier in the week and we went up for an evening on the boat and a cookout.  Avery was not sure about the lake water.  I don't blame her!
Daddy tubing!  And we saw the boat that exploded that day on the lake.  We hope everyone made a full recovery.
Beautiful sunset.
Filthy child.
Getting to be our normal "at home" attire.
Loves the bath!

Helped daddy clean the cars!
Precious Avery!
Sweet girl
Super hyper!
Goof ball!
Club Lake BBQ this weekend!  Perfect weather and yummy food!

We hung out with Nana, Papa, Wuwu, Aunt Lori, Tucker, Great-Grandma and Grandpa!  Grandpa nor dad won a gun, gift card, or fishing poles so we all ended our night at Braum's.
Avery wearing her Build-a-Bear's cloths on her head!
Home from church acting silly again!  We did lots of sticker art, jumped in the bounce house, blogged, hung out on the back porch, watched football, decorated for Fall, and cleaned house.  What a great weekend!  Oh and we leave for Disney in 10 days!  Woohoo!

First Day of Pre-K

What an awesome day it was!  God is good and He knew that this was going to be good for the Glover Family!  Daddy got to take Avery to school and be "mom" for a change!  He enjoyed taking pictures and sharing in a huge "first" moment.  Her first day was great!  She played and learned so much that she was the first to sleep and the very last to wake up.  Mommy had a good day too.  So much different than high school.  My little four year olds hugged me and told me so many interesting things that I really did miss them this weekend.  We were so busy Thursday that I barely ate lunch!  It was a good transition for us all!  I was so distracted by my first day and worrying about if I had everything I needed that I did not allow myself to get emotional until I wrote this post.  Looking at my baby girl sitting there so excited to learn and go to "stool" makes me wonder just why time passes so fast for mommies and daddies?  We love that she loves it!
Backpack, lunchbox, and nap mat ready to go!  Oh and little Miss Avery too!
Love this picture!
The "Back to School Fairy" even came to visit!  Note: the candy is for potty training and thank you Felica for the idea!
Not really understanding this mommy!
Headed in.
With mommy!
And daddy too!  You can tell there are much more interesting things going on around us hence the distracted two year old look!
No hesitation at all!
And this is mommy's room......They have all arrived!
First PreK work of the year!

Meet the Teacher Night

Avery was so excited to go meet her teachers!  Ms. Shari and Ms. Gina are super sweet and when she walked out she asked me, "Mommy, do my teachers love me?"  I just laughed because it was so cute in her little accent and responded yes!  I was so glad daddy was there with us even though I had to run back to my classroom.  And in posting this blog, I realized that we did not even get a picture with them. :(  It was so crazy that we were just snapping pictures!  That is a must for this week!

Typical "Not another picture" look.

Telling her where we are going!
Mommy's classroom
"If you can help with what you see, take a banana from the tree."  Thanks Jessica for the super cute idea!
Snack bags, t-shirts, and bag tags!
And my first gift!!!!!!  A Starbucks gift card from one of my sweet babies!
