So, I love this blog stuff. I have officially recruited my sister-in-law and although my sister says I am a nerd, I am addicted. If I wrote about everything on my mind, blogging would be my day job. :) So there are some things I want to share today. In my last post I was telling you about how "signs" are huge deal to me. I am a firm believer in the saying that "everything happens for a reason" and making connections is my way of coping or understanding certain situations. To further support my ideas, I found a perfect example of what I am talking about. My sister-in-law, Jennifer, posted a picture of my niece and I from the "Day in the Country". (Refer to my last post to understand) The people that stole the items are in the background of the picture. CRAZY! I know. The picture Jennifer took was right when we got there and approximately two and a half hours later the incident occured. Out of a thousand people, they landed in the background of our picture. It may mean nothing, but there is always an underlying reason.

Also, the sign with our mother's names IS real. No photo shop or editing. Just for those of you who were wondering.

My dad sent me one of the best emails today. The story talked about the pennies we find on the ground. Instead, they are pennies tossed down by an Angel when they miss you. Sometimes it is just to cheer you up or to make a smile out of your frown; so it is penny from heaven tossed down from an angel to you. This made me think about my great-grandparents, my cousin, and Jason's grandparents that were like my own. From now on, anytime I find a penny I will think about this story. So, thanks dad for sharing.

Lastly, my sister is completing her first year in college at Texas Tech and will be coming home. I pray that God leads her in the direction that she is suppose to go. She is a strong young lady, but needs time to find her way.

Other than that, my mom is coming into town this weekend for the Kenny Chesney concert Sunday and then Jason and I only have four weeks of work left before summer. P-A-R-T-Y!!!!!!!!!!!The first week in June we are headed to see my dad in Colorado for a week with my mom and sister. He is vigourously planning white water rafting, shopping and sight seeing. I can't wait to see him. I look forward to keeping everyone up to date. -The Glover's

Our Moms

I would like to dedicate this post to our wonderful mothers, Susan and Nancy. Jason and I always go to Sam's on Sunday afternoon for Sampler Sunday at Sam's and as we were heading there we decided to do some exploring. We ran across this sign in a neighborhood that was so cool. I am very into "signs" and I am always trying to put a meaning to them. Our mom's mean the world to us, as do our dad's, but in light of Mother's Day approaching we thought we would share our love with them. So, we love you Mom(s).

A Fun Filled Weekend

Well, I am finally sitting down. My mother-in-law, Nancy, my sister-in-law, Jennifer, and my niece and nephew got here Thursday afternoon and we did not stop moving the whole weekend. We went to the park twice, Target (I forgot how many times), the outlet mall, "A Day in the Country", and Market Street. Unfortunately my mother-in-law got her cell phone stolen and I felt so bad for her. At least it was not her purse. Any way, the whole point of this post is to express how much I enjoy our family. My niece was attached at my hip and her little voice saying "Ash-a-wee" just melts my heart and the way our nephew smiles at us is just precious. It definitely gives Jason and I the baby bug even more. We can't wait to be parents when that day comes; hopefully sooner than later.

I would, however, like to share a story with those of you reading. So I have been watching the TV show "What would you do?". If you have not seen it, it is worth watching. It makes you stop and think about some real life situations and how you would react. Well yesterday I was truely tested. So we all went to this so called family fun activity at the Sam Houston Race Track park in Houston. I think we were the only sober people there. Walking in we noticed a bicycle and backpack in the bushes. Well, my first thought was that it belonged to a homeless person and my heart just broke. As we were leaving there was a man who was sooooo drunk he could not even stand straight and a woman leaving in front of us as we were walking out. The man noticed the items in the bushes and went over and got the stuff. He was drunk and I had my niece with me so I did not say anything to him right away. I instantly walked over to a parking attendent for help and heaven forbid he leave his station. Needless to say, he did nothing but tell me he did not have a walkie talkie. The man was clearly stealing this unknown persons' belongings and I was outraged. So I went to the next parking attendent to ask for help and luckily there was the head of security. I pointed in the direction of this theif and he quickly drove over to help with the situation. The police came and got the bicycle and backpack and took the two people in and I was so happy somebody help. What was even worse was that the woman was an estimated nine months pregnant and smoking a cigarette. It was best that I left when I did because I probably would have ended up in police custody after telling her what I thought about what she was doing to her poor baby. It amazes me what people do.
Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and always love having company. So if your in the area, let us know. Have a beautiful Sunday.

Paula Deen

Hey Ya'll! It's Paula and the Boys and they are coming to The Woodlands tonight. So, typically I would not do something like this, but I absolutely love Paula Deen recipes. They fatten you up and make you happy, so tonight I am going to have her sign her new cookbook that is filled with wonderful yummies I never have time to cook. I will post pictures after tonight. Bye Ya'll! (for those of you who are not familiar with Paula Deen, she loves to say Ya'll.)
Ok, so I am continuing this post. So my wonderful husband and I stood in line for two hours to get two signatures. It was worth it though. Paula and her husband Micheal were so nice and genuine. And yes, her teeth are really that perfect. So I have provide a picture of the lengthy line in which we stood in, it was 85 degrees here today (in case anyone was wondering), and then a picture of the two of them right after they signed our book.

McKinley and Brennan

Jason and I have the cutest niece and nephew, McKinley and Brennan. They are 3 years old and 9 months. We are known as "Bubba" and "Ash" and McKinley loves to come to "Whostin". We are getting to go to Disney World with them this summer and I can't wait to see McKinley's face when we get to the "Princess Castle". It should be a blast. This is Brennan and I at Thanksgiving and Jason and McKinley at Easter.

What are we up to.......................

Currently, Jason and I are both teaching at the high school level. Jason teaches 9th grade Biology and I teach 10th and 11th grade Physics and Chemistry. As you can tell by the picture we are truely science nerds. Jason is still trying to get into dental school and is re-applying this summer. Right after we got married, we learned a hard lesson and that is "we do not plan our future, He does". So far, our plan has been nothing but blessed and our first two years of marriage have been amazing. God is good and He will send us where we are suppose to be.
This is Jason and I at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. IMAX theater glasses!!!!!!!! (Please excuse Jason's funny face. He was sooooooo excited.)

Creation

So here we are. I finally decided to start a blogsite. Many of our friends use this as a means of communication so we thought we would jump on the ban wagon too. Not really, I decided to start this because Jason and I live so far from our families, we thought this would be a great way to keep everyone up-to-date with our lives. So may the journey be a blessed one. Hope everyone enjoys our stories.
