Avery's End of the Year Program

Last Thursday night, Avery's Preschool held their End of the Year Program.  Avery was so excited to get on stage and sing.  She talked about it for weeks!  This year is coming to an end and the thought that she only has one more year before Kindergarten is scary.  I feel like once the girls hit school, time is going to fly by even more so than now.  As she walked out, she was searching for us....I knew if she did not spot us before they started their four songs she would probably be distracted the entire time.  Once she saw us, she was all smiles!
Starting her search!

Happy 11 Month Birthday

Happy 11 Month Birthday to our precious Ansley Grace!

How can it be....you are four weeks away from being one!  I have so many emotions that one day I am sobbing because of what a big girl you are turning into and then the next I am so excited that you reach another milestone.  You are seriously the happiest baby!  You are smiling and bouncing up and down unless your hungry or tired.  You started walking while Daddy was in New York and really took off the weekend he got home, Mother's Day weekend!  You literally stood up and started running!  To see your little self walking is so surreal.  It seems like yesterday I saw you for the first time, snuggled on my chest, trying to figure the world out outside of my tummy.  I will always remember that moment.  Your Daddy seeing you for the first time, your sister meeting you for the first time......we are truly blessed by you girls!  You really are sensitive to table food, the textures throw you for a loop.  So far you have gagged on eggs, bread, and green beans.  You like cheerios, crackers, and crackers!  I gave you watermelon and you picked it up and dropped it onto the floor.  Guess that will take awhile!  You are going to be my picky eater!  You will wave hi and bye, you give open mouth kisses, and you hold your hands up to us when you want to be picked up.  It is precious!  We love you to the moon and back and then back a thousand times!  Our sweet baby girl!

Cloths:  Size 9-12 months
Shoes: 2-3
Teeth: 5 teeth, two bottom and three on top
Walking: yes
Eating: 5 six ounce bottles, baby food, puffs, and some table food
Words: Hi, Bye-bye, Momma, Dada, and lots of other gibberish

Mother's Day 2014

Mother's Day was very relaxing and enjoyable.  The past two years Jas has had to work and this year was no different.  Luckily though he was home by 4 and we spent the evening together.  He had breakfast ready, all the baby monitors turned off, and let me sleep in (we went to Saturday church service).  After him being gone all last week, that was much appreciated.  Funny how as you get older it is the little things that make me so happy.  He put my favorite thing on the smoker, a brisket, and cooked it for 9 hours.  It was wonderful and anything on the grill is my favorite!  Thank you for making my day special!
Me with my two precious gifts from God that call me Momma!  I am one lucky girl!

My sweet girls!

Happy Mother's Day to a very special Mother and my lovely Wife. Ashley you are such a wonderful mother and I love you so much. Avery and Ansley are so lucky to have such a inspirational and remarkable woman to call their mom. I get the privilege of watching you and the girls interact on a daily basis. I see they way theirs eyes light up when you walk in the room, I see the love pouring out of their smile when you are holding them, and I feel the warmth of the hugs they give you. We are very blessed to be able to call you my wife and their mom. You have such a charismatic personality. You take such great care of us when we are sick, and you love us unconditionally. You inspire me to be a better father on a daily basis. Thank you for the love you give us and the nurturing you pour upon us. We love you for the woman you are and the way you make us feel. You are such a beautiful woman and I hope you have a great and relaxing mothers day. We love you, Jason, Avery, and Ansley. xoxoxoxoxo

To my mom:

I am wishing a very special Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful, giving, selfless, and awesome Mom and Nana!!!!!! YOU are the BEST! You have been there for me in every walk of life; from marrying my best friend to becoming a mother myself. ... You have been a true example of unconditional love my entire life and I can only hope to be half the mother you are to my girls. What you do for my little family is beyond measure.......I can never thank you enough. You love Jason like your son and you treasure your grandbabies and ALWAYS put them first. I thank you for that. Thank you for always being there, supporting me along the way, and standing beside me reassuring me all would be ok. I love you beyond measure and I am so blessed to be your daughter. Thank you Susan Burrus for being an incredible MOM!"

I want to say a special Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I love you so much and thank you for everything you have done for me over my life. You have made numerous sacrifices to give me the best possible chance at being successful in life. You have taught me so many life lessons and showed me how to love a woman. I am a better man, a better husband, and a better father for the love you showed me growing up. Thank you for always being there to support me, encourage me, and love me. Thanks for loving my daughters as much as you love me. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and I love you.

Ansley Grace's Baby Dedication

On May 10, 2014 we dedicated Ansley Grace to the Lord.  We made the commitment to teach her to love Jesus, as we do, and we were so blessed to have our family and friends there to watch us.  Thank you for supporting us and loving our family as each of you do.  We are truly blessed!
Our precious gift from God!

Her famous face!

So not only was Jason gone the entire week, he came home to be on call for work.  He had a surgery pop up and literally walked in one or two minutes before we went on stage.  I was stressing and in between chasing busy pants and searching the crowd for him, I did not think he was going to make it.  I was so relieved when he walked in!

Being introduced!

Her cake!

We had so much good food!  Thank you to Nana, my mom, for doing most of it!  Between MOPS fundraiser and Jason being gone the week of, I was pretty worn thin.  I didn't ask, she just knew I needed help and she came to my rescue as always!

Her invitation!

Final Game

Avery has come so far this year in soccer.  She loved playing, she loved her teammates, and most of all she had a great time!  We are so proud of her!  Go Vipers!

Ansley has been the team mascot this year!  She loved watching her sister!
