Bring on 30

I celebrated my 30th birthday on November 14th and I have to say that I was pretty excited for the new "age"!  I must say that I don't even feel 25....I can't seem to view myself as in my thirties.  Not sure why.  You would think that after looking at my babies, or a mortgage statement, or the dark circles under my eyes that all would be clear, but not so much.  I feel young, may look old, but I am excited for this next chapter in my life.  I say thirty is the new twenty and I am going to try to rock it as much as I can!  My awesome girls and super sweet hubby got me one of the lenses I wanted.  I am so excited!  Avery made me a cake, Jason and my college friends (and my sister) surprised me at dinner over the weekend, my parents bought me something I have been wanting for awhile, my niece sent me a super cool bracelet she made me (latest craze with the rubber bands), my grandparents sent me a gift card, and my in-laws got me a pink Duck Dynasty "Si" glass.  It was a pretty good year!  Anddddd I was overwhelmed and feeling very blessed with all the calls, texts, and Facebook messages I received.  Still working on thank yous on Facebook!

Fall Happenings

Fall has been busy.  Setting up the house, changing things, work, starting a business, Avery's school activities, planning holiday get togethers in advance, Fall festivals, playing with friends, play dates, etc.  You name we have tried to fit it in.  We love to be on the go, but we love our down time too and I feel like we have had the both of best worlds.  I have really enjoyed the last couple of months considering the summer we had.  Baby was a blessing but Dad was sick, the move, Avery getting hurt, should I say more?
Avery had her first sleep over and the poor girl sleep right through her friends, our sweet neighbors, going home.  She woke up in a daze!  Party hard, sleep harder!
Finally got some Twinkle Toes!  She was pumped!
School Picture
Baking Pumpkin bread like twice a week......starting putting Chocolate Chips in after seeing it on Pinterest......awesome!
I am so super thankful for both of my girls and I always want them to know that.  So for the month of November I have been putting a I am thankful note in Avery's lunchbox and they are all about her!  She loves them and refuses to throw them away so I have been saving them for her to have down the road.  Just like her mother!
I fought Strep Throat a few weeks ago and I never want it again.  Terrible.  That's all.  And I'm glad we all got our flu shots, minus Ans because she is too young, and that no one else in the family got it.  I was miserable.
How am I suppose to lose weight with this combo?????  I have hardly had any ice cream though.  I do step on the scale too much though.....just a daily reminder that I just think about the ice cream and I gain a few.  Ugh!

Just the Two of Us

Jason and I went to Lubbock for the OSU game....total bust, but we had fun on our little getaway!  Anytime we go to Lubbock, it makes us miss it that much more.  It was weird without the girls, but we needed the time away just us.  We stayed with one of my best friends, Jenn, and her husband and what hospitality they showed us!  It was great getting to spend time with them!  We did some Christmas shopping and walked around campus like old times!  Sweet memories!
Jenn and I at dinner at the Tech Club the night we got in!  It was super cool!

My super handsome hubby and I at the game!  Before we lost.  Once a Red Raider, Always a Red Raider!

Dallas Arboretum- November Play Date

For our November play date we planned a trip to the Arboretum and to visit the new Children's Garden.  The kids had a great time.  Our season pass gets us 12 tickets to the new garden so it was well worth the visit before the end of the year.  We packed a picnic and let the kids play.  I am blessed to live so close to some of my closest friends from college who have the ability to do a play date once a month.  The kids play and we laugh our backsides off.  Well, not really but I wish it worked like that!  Avery calls Marley and Carlyle her "little friends".  I love it!  And she loves them!
Me and my girls!
All the girls...Carlyle, Marley, Ansley, and Avery!

Love all the pumpkins!

First Dance Class

Our tiny little dancer!
She was so excited to start dance....finally!  After the move and everything slowed down I was able to find somewhere to start her at!  And she got her dance bag last year for Christmas from her Uncle Wayne and Aunt Kim!  It is the cutest!

She does a TBT, tap ballet tumbling, class for an hour!  Her teacher is Miss Nicole!

Mommy was pretty excited as well!

And it was parent observation week!  Perfect for some pictures!

 Shoe change!  Time for tap!

Happy 5 Month Birthday

How can it be that you are already 5 months old?  Ansley Grace is such a sweet baby.....from her super slobbery kisses, to her smiling ear to ear when she hears or sees us, to her faint laugh when tickling her.....I love every square inch of this precious girl!  I can't believe December 11th she will be half a year old.  She is all over the place.  Which would explain her behavior in my tummy while I was pregnant with her.  She is full of energy and so very smart.  She will pop her little head up and peek out over her crib to see if she sees you....yes I have crawled out of her room to avoid those beautiful eyes spotting me.  I laughed at myself when I did it.  She is true to size on clothes although we are kind of at a weird size, some 3 months still fit and other 6 months are the perfect fit.  She is wearing a 2 diaper and eating about the same as she was at 4 months.  I can't get enough of her and her sister, and at times I do need a break, but they are my heart, my day, my life, my everything.  My girls are growing so fast and I just can't stand it.  I want to soak up every second of them looking at each other, smiling at each other, having to tell sweet big sis to be easy (I say this about fifty times a day), and just hearing Avery talk and Ansley Grace coo!  When I get caught up in the I need this or I want that way of thinking I look at my husband and girls and think, "I need nothing because God has given me what I truly need and want".  My Family.  I am so thankful for the love that Avery shows to her sister and how Ansley just goes with the flow.  Not that she really has a choice.  I feel like in the next couple of weeks she will be sitting on her own, maybe even crawling with the way things are going.  So I better have the baby gates ready!  The next month and half are super exciting with all the Christmas festivities we have planned with family and the sound of Christmas!  Enjoying every little thing I can possibly take a picture of!!!!!!!

Halloween 2013

We had a great day yesterday!  Avery had a Parade of Costumes at her school where the parents could come take pictures and watch their kids trick or treat!  Avery loved having us there!  Jason was able to stay home and go with us and then leave afterwards for work.  She spotted us immediately and wore a grin from ear to ear the entire time!  At that moment I knew that me staying home and being at her events was so worth it.  She will always remember me doing this and her Daddy being there.  It was a good morning.  I even got to share breakfast with Jas and Ans at Starbucks before going.  After the parade the day was filled with cleaning house, Sam's, and the grocery store.  Our neighbors had us over for dinner and then we all headed out for Trick or Treating!  I did not take a lot of pictures because I was loving watching Avery and her friends run house to house with such excitement.  We got back and handed out our candy, we had tons of kids, and then called it a night.  I snuggled both my girls a little longer because Jas and I are headed to Lubbock for the game this weekend.  Nana is coming to stay with them!
She spotted us!

Happy Kittly!  Not for long......we ended up carrying this little toot!

So excited!

Trunk or Treat

Last weekend we went to a Trunk or Treat with our neighbors and the girls had a blast.  They got treats, went through a haunted house (Avery did great!  I was nervous for her.....), and bounced on the jump houses.  This is the evening I started feeling bad so not too many pics and a little behind.  Love these girls!
