Lately

Here lately we have been super busy.  One thing that has not been enjoyable is that Jas has been working like a mad man since the first of June......maybe home a total of five days the entire month of June.  We are ready for him to be home.  We have been spending time with family, going to the pool almost everyday, catching up on little projects, and hanging out with friends.  Avery is starting to become a little jibber jabber!  She carries on conversations with me and I love it because she is so animated.  For instance, yesterday's conversation: Me: What is your name?, Avery: I is Avery, Me: How old are you?, Avery: I is two, Me: Where are we going in a few months?, Avery: Ooh, to Mickey's house to see Minnie, Me: Really, how are we going to get there?, Avery: I need wings, some mumbling going on, then she says I fly!  Too cute!  Some of the funniest words that she says are mac a mony (for macaroni), memi nade (lemonade), ban bad (for bandade), and all e nator (alligator, Wuwu taught her this.).  At night when we say our prayers I always ask her who she wants to pray for and her response is always Daddy!  Makes my heart melt.  She is still only showing a little interest in the potty and I am not going to push her.  I cannot believe she is already 27 months old!  I looked at her the other day in her carseat and she looked like such a big girl.  Where is the time going?

 Big girl ponytail!
 Eating watermelon at the pool!
The scene at our house most of the time!
Cooking in her hat and tutu!  What a character!
Also using my calculator as her phone!  What a mess.
Hanging out at Wuwu's pool!  In a bucket.
Love this face!

Happy Father's Day 2012

Today I celebrate two men in my life that are very special to me.  My father and my husband.  Happy Father's Day to you both!  I love you both with all my heart and I miss seeing you today.
Dad and I when I was about five years old and us in Daytona Beach Florida my freshman year in college for Nationals for Tech Pom

Dad, thank you for always supporting me in my goals and my dreams and always being by my side.  I am the luckiest girl to have you and mom as my parents.  Thank you for being fun, loving, hard working, and loving mom unconditionally.  Avery's loves her Papa and I am thankful for that relationship.  Every Mother's Day and Father's Day I think how blessed I am to be able to write words of pride and unconditional love both my parents and today I am thankful for you!

Jason and Avery the first time he got to hold her and then in Houston 2012

Where do I begin.......I am not sure who is luckier, me or Avery.  You never miss a beat with us, even when your at work.  From the day you held her in your arms and became a daddy till today, you are in every moment, every event, and the one Avery wants to pray for every night at bedtime.  She loves you with everything she has and the light that comes upon her face when she sees you in indescribable.  I am thankful for your involvement in her life, not too many dads do what you have done and continue to do.  You are the most amazing dad and I love you with all my heart.

Our little fishy

For the past two weeks Avery and I have been taking a parent/toddler swim class at Frisco Athletic Center.  We have had so much fun, but momma has been exhausted everyday afterwards so I am looking forward to a little break from swim lessons.  Aunt Lulu was great and went the first day of class to take pictures for us.  We greatly appreciate having these memories and I loved looking through them and seeing how much more comfortable little miss dare devil has become in the water!  She did great!  The class has taught her how to use her arms and legs to get out of the pool by herself with no steps, go under water by herself, jump into the water, kick her legs and paddle her arms, blow bubbles in the water, transfer above and under water in between parent and instructor, float on her back while flapping her arms like a penguin, and monkey crawl along side the edge of the pool ledge.  And she did it all and I am such a proud momma!
First day and ready for class
Ring around the rosies, pocket full of posies, splashes, splashes, we all say HI!  We sang this everyday to begin and ended with the same song (instead we said BYE) at the end!  Cute.

 Learning to kick
 Going under
Momma says the water is cold!
Going under again and loving this face!

Doing the Hokie Pokie......swim lesson style!
 Jumping in with no fear.
 My favorite picture!
Where is the time going?????  She is getting so big.
Like Avery would say, "Werd Avery go?"
 And again, "Dare she is!"
Last day of classes and she is water logged.  She did so good and mommy and daddy are very proud of her!

Busy baby

Just a few pictures of what Avery and I have been up too!
I think she made a few friends at Babe's!  I had to pick a check up and when I turned around this is what I saw!!!!!!  A total of nine stickers on my child.  Too funny!
 Showing off!
 Silly girl!
Trying to butter up her "sissy"!  Maddie still runs from Avery.  :(
But she did let her feed her.  This day.  Although the next day Maddie nipped at Avery and it scared Avery to death.  I told Ave to stop chasing after her screaming "SISSY" at the top of her lungs.  Poor Maddie.
Yeah!!!!  First official pony tail!  She saw me do my hair this way and she wanted her hair fixed!  She has the most beautiful hair!

Such a big girl!  I love her with all my heart and I know her daddy does too!

One of many trips.........

One of many trips to see daddy............Last weekend Avery and I drove down to The Woodlands to meet Jason.  He had been down there all week for a training and we needed to see him......gone too long.  We planned to see many of our friends whom we miss very dearly.  Thursday night we ate with daddy on the canal and then headed out to see Nona and Pops for a quick but much needed visit.  We miss them so much and they are like family to us.  It was so good to see them and I wish we had had more time to spend.  Friday Jas headed to his last day of training and Ave and I met Ginger and Cooper for lunch.  They were headed out of town for the weekend and were going to miss dinner at the Laborde's.  It was great catching up and Cooper is precious.  Later that day when Jason finished up we headed to Pump It Up to let Avery jump.  She had a blast!  Defiantly something we are going to have to do here.  We then hit the mall for a little shopping and called it a night after eating at Salt Grass!  Yum! Yum!  Saturday I held a Wrap Party for one of my distributors in Magnolia and then Jas and Ave met me for lunch.  We headed to County Line out on Lake Conroe.  I love to go out there and sit on the patio and watch the boats.  Avery loved feeding the fish after we ate.  After going back to the hotel for a quick cat nap it was off to the Laborde's!  We miss them too and wish we lived closer to the Laborde's and Meyer's!  It was a great visit, dinner, and catch-up session!  Nothing better than great friends!  It was a busy weekend, but well worth the visit.  And we got to do all of it with DADDY!!!!!!!!
Yeah!  We made it to daddy!  It is so good to see his face after being away for a few weeks.
 Eating brownies and being spoiled.
Sweet girl playing with all the toys.
With her Nona and Pops!  We love the Youngs and miss them very much.
 Their place is so beautiful!
Many nights sat out by this fireplace!  Miss those times.
 Lunch with Cooper and Ginger!
 Pump it Up with Daddy!

She is going to sleep good!
Feeding the fish at Lake Conroe!
All the girls!  We were missing our boys; Cooper and Noah (Rachel and Noah are still in China.)
I had to add this picture too.  Kinley's face is adorable!  She is a doll baby!
We were in the car, yes she is in the front seat but we were not driving.  Just parked in a parking lot waiting to meet friends for lunch.  She was reading to mommy!

Is that the same baby?

First Day 2011 and Last Day 2012 of going to Mrs. Holley's

Talk about change........I was messing with this last night and came across these two pictures.  I just burst into tears at the difference.  I had no remembrance that Avery looked like this less than a year ago and now she is my little mini me shadow.  I know this a first of many comparisons to come in the years ahead, but WOW.  It is amazing what one year will do!
