Lately

If the weather is nice outside you can be sure we are outside!  We love to have the girls from next door over to play and Avery loves to crash at their house too!  Jason and I just completed a brick border around our flower bed in the backyard and we are getting ready to extend our patio in the next couple of months!  Thank goodness!  I miss our old patio but love our new house!  Ready for a great outdoor space....the roof will come later.....maybe when we win the lottery!!  Ha!
Relaxing in the Pink Pearl....the name she gave her play set!
I felt like I was posing her for her future sorority picture!  Ha!

Tire swing fun!

Laying down the first layer!

And of course our little helper!

Sweet Maddie who is getting grumpy in her old age.....it is like she is giving me the evil eye for even taking the picture.

Happy 9 Month Birthday

How can it be?  You are now two and half months away from being ONE and I can't even imagine.  You radiate pure joy and happiness!  You can see it in your eyes and in your smile!  You are always smiling and clapping at everything.  I love how observant you are about everything around you, you get that from your sister!  Who by the way adores you.  She hasn't quite caught on that if she is more gentle then you would let her hug you more.  She comes in like a tornado and leaves like a hurricane.  I am always reminding your sissy to be careful, be gentle, not so rough......I guess you better get use to it.  You mimic everything we do; clapping, shaking your head no (which by the way you think is funny when I am telling you not to touch that, don't pull over the trash can, stop trying to climb the stairs, etc), patty cake, and your trying to talk to us as well.  I love to listen to you over the monitor or in the car.  It is non-stop "talking".  The other day it sounded just like you said "Go Avery" at her soccer game!  I did get it on video!  When you get shy around people you don't know or recognize, you put your right pointer finger in your mouth without fail.  You are also a Mommas girl......when I am holding you and someone reaches for you, you just lay your head on my shoulder or bury your head in my neck.  I have summed it up to being at home with you more than I was able to home with Ave.  Sometimes I get mom guilt with it but at the end of the day it is what it is.  When you get up from a nap or in the mornings you give us "good pats".  It is almost like your telling us thank you for coming and getting me.  You are standing on everything, transferring back and forth from the couch and coffee table, and you took two steps to me in the living room two weeks ago.  You are so cute when you push your baby stroller; you will push it away from you, your bottom will be stuck out behind you, then you walk your feet up to it!  I love it!  You do have a bit of a temper starting to show......when I do get you out of your crib and "try" to lay you down on the changing table to change your diaper you will arch your back and get so mad.  I guess you think I am laying you back down.  Hope that is not a sign that you are going to be as strong willed as your sister!!!!!  Two sassy pants may do me in!  Regardless, you are such a happy baby and although you are making up for your sister being such a good teether, you are such a joy and make us smile everyday!

Clothes:  Mostly 9 month, some 6 months still
Weight: 20.4 lbs
Height: 27 inches
Words:  Dada, you recognize your name obviously and if we say "Yea" you start clapping.  We are working on Bye-Bye....you will move your mouth as if you are trying to say it!
Eating:  You are still eating five 6oz bottles, you will eat puffs (sometimes you gag yourself with them....makes me a nervous wreck), yogurt here and there, and baby food twice a day.  At the doctor they told me you should be eating people food.....either I am a paranoid mother of two or you are behind sweet girl.  Sorry.
Shoes: 2s and 3s
Diaper Size: 4
Teeth: Bottom two are completely in and the top two are through and slowly dropping (we nicknamed you Baby Goat because you chew everything....even your bed and you drool on everything.  Quite opposite to Avery so I am new at the crankiness that comes with teething.)
Firsts:  You went to the Forth Worth Zoo for the first time and you went to the mountains in Colorado for your first ski trip (technically your second time to the mountains!)

Happy 9 Month Birthday Sweet Ansley Girl!

Love the light!

Daddy wanted her to wear the camo!

Sweet girl!

The Glover Girls

This weekend I was part of our MOPS fundraiser and wanted to scope out the location we were shooting at!  So I took the girls to get a few pictures.  For the most part they cooperated.....for the most part.  Avery was ready to play at the play ground and Ansley did not want me to put her down!
Warming up on the instruments!

Our girls!

This is what most of the pictures of them together look like.....one is always looking away!

Both of them praying this doesn't last long!

Right before she started screaming......

Beautiful Avery!

Precious Ansley!

Not sure what they are looking at.....I think a tractor was behind me!

The look I got when I told her to keep her eyes open!  Surprise!

Just a swinging!

She had me order ice cream!!!!

Fort Worth Children's Museum

One of our many adventures during Spring Break this year was to go the Children's Museum.  We loved it.....and got a year membership to go back during all the HOT summer days we face coming up!  We literally had to peel Avery out of the "role" playing room.  All she wanted to do was be a doctor and take care of the babies.  And Jas had a light week so he was able to attend with us!  So much better when daddy is there!

Picking vegetables!

Riding away with Toto!

More vegetables!

Doing a little shopping!

Ansley slobbering all over the toys......boosting the immune system!

Love her to pieces!

Crested Butte 2014

The first of March we headed up to Crested Butte to take Avery skiing for the first time and to spend some much needed time away from work.  My parents got to go with us!!!!!  Last summer our Colorado plans were interrupted by some health issues with my Dad so I was thrilled when they agreed to go with us!  It is always an adventure.  We travelled through the night, which was awesome because the kids slept most of the way, had an unfortunate deer experience, and arrived into Crested Butte just in time for breakfast!  After getting checked into our room we walked around and enjoyed the fresh mountain air!  Nothing like it!  We stayed at Elevation which was awesome.....ski in, ski out, quick diaper changes for Ansley, and located around everything.  Avery loved the pool and the fact she got to go swimming every night.  We found so many places we loved, but one place stood out......The Secret Stash!  It is the absolute BEST pizza place in the world.  No joke!  We had a pizza that was a potato skin on dough and it was heaven in a pizza form.  Skiing was great, time with my parents was awesome, they enjoyed a snowmobile trip together, time away was much needed, and we will definitely be back to Crested Butte!  Maybe every year!  I want to also thank my wonderful parents for hanging out with the kids while Jason and I did some much needed skiing!  So very appreciated!
Avery getting fitted for her boots!  She was so excited!
The snow the first day was insane.  It snowed 2 feet while we were there total and visibility the first ski day was slim.....and cold.

 Cutest bunny on the slopes!

The view we walked out to everyday!

Headed to ski school!

Me and my babies!

Love my family!

Multitasking with beach toys!

Love my girls!

First day with the harness.

Ready for a break.......

People actually thought I skied with her on.....really?  I just looked at them.

Snow moving in on the first day.

This is my favorite thing to do......way better than the beach.

Beautiful!

We did not jump in lightly.....might I add that we have not skied since having Avery in 2010.  So it has been close to 5 years away from the slopes.  It was like we never missed a year!

The effects of day one.....Jas forgot to grab his face cover and we were on the other side of the mountain when it got bad.  No going back!

Awesome day!

Ave loved the Children's museum and the musical toys!

Downtown

Look at the snow!

The crew!

Promise my dad was in a good mood!!!!!!  Serious look I guess!

Daddy, Avery, Ansley, Mommy, Nana, and Papa.......those were the names given after her and daddy spent all morning building them!

Rocking ski school!

We can see today!

Beautiful weather!

I could live here....hop on skis, spend the whole day on the slopes, hike home, and do it again the next day!  Definitely would not need a gym membership.

She did awesome!  So proud!

It was a great trip and many memories made!  Looking forward to taking her up next year!
