And It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason and I having been keeping a huge secret from our families. And believe me it has been one of the hardest things to do. But we wanted to do something special for them to find out the sex of our baby. The only thing that did not work out was having my dad here. He is working in Colorado and could not get away in time so I made a deal to tell him first before telling the rest of the family. It is only fair because this is his first grand baby and he is so excited. He already wants to get her a fishing pole and of course a cameo outfit. Whatever he wants to do is fine with me. So Monday night, December 21st, we had our families meet for dinner and revealed our gender cake. Everyone was so happy! And we can finally start calling her by name and saying 'she'. I will tell you this, Miss Avery is one loved little girl and has many people anxiously awaiting her arrival. And like I said before she is perfect in every way!

Mother-Daughter Luncheon

My mom, Lindsey, and I had the pleasure of attending a Christmas Party hosted by Susan Kluesner, which is a neighbor of my parents. We had a wonderful time talking with friends and Lindsey got to visit with several girls she graduated with. Thank you for the fellowship with friends at this wonderful time of year!!!!!!!

My Keys Will Not Work.........

So Jason said he got me a new car but my keys would not work!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, maybe next year. :)

Preparing for Sherman

Jason and I have officially landed in Sherman for two weeks. Normally we go snow skiing while on break, but obviously this year we are unable to go with me being pregnant. We will have plenty of time with our families. So before we left for Sherman, we went over to the Woodlands for a date night and to celebrate the clean bill of health that me and Baby G got at the doctors' office that day. The Woodlands puts up a beautiful display at Christmas with an ice skating rink, several large Christmas trees, and tons of lights. After walking around and enjoying the cool weather we headed to Laundry's Seafood to eat and then called it a night. We had to get home to pack and get ready to leave the following morning. Here are some pictures we would like to share!!!!!!!!!

Jaxson or Avery

We find out December 17th if we will be welcoming baby Jaxson or baby Avery in May 2010! We are so anxious and excited. We will then come home December 18th for a wedding and then have a dinner with our parents to reveal the gender with a gender cake that following Monday evening. It is going to be sooooooo hard to keep it a secret for that long without telling. We will post pics next weekend.

I Can't Stop....

So since my last post I have been busy. I love making the clip frames and Christmas countdowns. I have sold 9 so far and just finish my last order last night. I did not intend to sell any of them, but have been more than happy to share my craftiness (not sure if that is even a word, but we will go with it). The Christmas countdowns shown are not complete, they were still needing numbers, but the others are ready to go. Hope you enjoy!

Decoupage

So this morning Jason and I stopped by one of the elementary schools that was hosting a craft show and I saw this really cute "Days Til Christmas" Countdown. It was the cutest thing, but they wanted $30 for a block of wood with some scrapbook paper on it. Well, this led me to Hobby Lobby to try my luck at Decoupage.

I am really proud of myself after viewing my final product. Next on my list, Decoupage picture frames!!!!!!!!!! Hope you like the Glover's new Christmas countdown.

Tis' The Season

We are still the brighest house on the block!!!!!! Jas, you did such a good job on the lights like you always do. Thank you for making our house bright enough for Santa to see! :)
Also, I found this super cute Angel Snowman today while out Christmas shopping and then of course Frosty in the yard!

B-L-A-C-K FRIDAY

Call me crazy, but my mom and I were up shopping at 3am. We found some great deals and were exhausted by 12 noon. We went to Old Navy, Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl's, Baskins and Sam's. Then we met up with Jason's mom and Tom and my Aunt Lori and Dad for our annual Black Friday Breakfast. Our big purchase was our camera we have been wanting to get. With a baby on the way we must have a quality camera to capture "everything". So I wanted to share some pictures we took with it.
Jason and I spent Thanksgiving with both our families which was really special. Special in the fact that my Dad was home this year on Thanksgiving! We spent the morning in Winnsboro with Jason's family and had dinner with my family. Happy Thanksgiving!

More Baby G

******I wanted to share two things: the picture frame Jennifer sent me for my birthday all the way from South Carolina and the latest
sighting of the ever growing belly at 15 weeks.

Baby Furniture

So Jason and I made our first purchase, Baby G's furniture. We were extremely lucky on our find and would like to share some pictures. Keep in mind that once we know what we are having things will look much different as far as decor. I will post pictures in the later months. Enjoy for now.
!

Giving Thanks

So I have noticed that on many blogs, my friends have listed things they are thankful for and I too had all intentions of posting this before Thanksgiving. However, time seemed to slip away and it is never to late to express the the many things I am thankful for. So........

1. I am thankful for my faith and the strength that I find through that faith. Knowing that God is always by my side is an everlasting comfort.

2. I am thankful for my loving, selfless, humble, and sacrificing husband. We have been together 11 years and there is not one day that goes by that I do not wake up with a huge smile on my face because he is there next to me. He loves me for who I am and accepts my flaws with open arms. Knowing that someone loves me like that makes me want to be a better person. Still to this day when he looks at me I get butterflies. For that, God has blessed both of us for allowing us to share that kind of love for one another.

3. I am thankful for my family. They have raised me in a way that has led me to appreciate all the hard times and even more, the good times. The memories I hold from my childhood are ones that will be with me for life and I hope that I can be half the mother that my mom is. I am blessed that I can speak openly with my dad and he does not shy away from his "girls". They truly are the rock that holds our family together and their example as parents makes me proud to be their daughter. I love that within the last couple of years my sister and I have become closer. Seven years difference has been a challenge, but I would give my life for my sister. I am thankful for all three of them.

4. I am thankful for Jason's family. Since I was 14 years old they have welcomed me into their home and their hearts. I have been treated like family and that makes life easy. I am thankful for Nancy, Jason's mom, who raised him to be the man he is today; minus the horrible memory :) I am thankful that Jennifer, Jason's sister, enjoys hanging out with me and allows me to have the most precious niece and nephew anyone could ask for. I am thankful for his entire family; Nancy, Tommy, Jennifer, Tristan, the babies, Jeff, Josh, and all the extended family.

5. I am thankful for this little baby growing inside my tummy. I dream of Baby G and tear up every time I think of the first time I will get to hold him/her in my arms. Baby G is truly a miracle from God and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to it's mommy. I cannot wait! So May, please hurry. There are many people waiting to meet this little baby.

6. I am thankful for good health for myself and my family.

7. I am thankful for all my friends. I know that I could call on Jenn, Steph, and Marissa and they would be by my side in a heartbeat. Jason and I have been blessed with so many good friends that have enriched our life with memories. Thank you.

8. I am thankful for the time I get to spend with family during the holidays. I cherish every second with our families.

9. I am thankful for Maddie. She is my sweet Maltese that Jason got for me in October 2005 and she makes my heart melt every time she looks at me. She loves to snuggle and of course bark, but we are working on that in preparation for baby.

10. I am thankful for all the special kids I get the opportunity to teach each day. Even though at times I feel very tested, I always remember the big picture and what my job represents. I have an amazing job, great co-workers, and wonderful girls (cheerleaders). We have been blessed with our jobs and location.

11. I am thankful for the things I love and love to do: snow ski (reaching the top of the mountain and looking over God's country with my husband), the ability to call my family and friends everyday and have someone on the other end waiting for my phone call, being able to sing in the car and no one hear me, flavored water, candles, Tivo (however you spell it), cute shoes, TJ Maxx, football (specifically Texas Tech), cleaning and yard work (don't judge), and just about anything that comes my way; something else my parents taught me, love the life your in.

12. I am thankful for my belief that "Everything happens for a reason". For such a loaded comment, it has pulled me through many hard times.

13. I am thankful for my life all together and the people God has given me to share it with.

My Birthday Weekend

The weekend of my birthday my mom, sister, and mother-in-law drove down to help celebrate. We had a packed weekend ahead of us and we have had this weekend planned for quite some time. The Houston Ballet hosts a holiday market called "The Nutcracker Market" that welcomes over 300 vendors. We shopped all day on my birthday and then ate at Pappasita's for dinner. On Sunday we hit up the Mega Marshall's in The Woodlands and made a haul. I was so thankful for some of my family being with me on my birthday. Thank you for coming down and spending the weekend with me. I love you all.

Playing Catch-up continued......

Ok, ok, I got nothing accomplished over the break as far as updating the blog goes. I saw two movies, had two Thanksgivings, did lots of shopping, and enjoyed many hours of just being with my family. I need to post my birthday weekend, baby furniture, things I am thankful for, and of course, now Thanksgiving. My list keeps growing, like something else. :) Please stay posted.
So Jason and I have been so very busy the last couple of weeks and I have been slacking on some things; such as our blog. We are headed to Sherman right after we get off work today and we are so excited. I plan on doing some blogging in the next couple of days so look for new pictures and stories.

Comments

So I have had many friends and family tell me they cannot post a comment on our blog. Well I think I fixed it. So if you have been one of those people, hopefully you will find it easier now! Sorry for the goof up.

Guess what???????

The last three months have been nothing short of an emotional roller coaster. Back at the end of July, Jason and I faced one of the hardest times in our marriage. And so the story begins with a quite elated ending.

We found out I was pregnant the day of my cousin’s wedding rehearsal (July 17th) and could barely stand to keep the smiles off our face. We had just started to try and were completely shocked to see how things came along so quickly. A week later I started spotting and after a trip to the emergency room and being told everything was fine, my world felt as though it was falling apart. So it seemed like. The outcome was a miscarriage and I we were completely heart-broken. To have a desire so strong and want something so bad, there are no words to describe the hurt and emptiness one feels. After I was cleared a week later, I felt a little more put together and started to realize that it was a common thing and I was not to blame. Even having that understanding, no one or nothing makes you feel any better. It seemed everywhere I looked, all my friends with blogs and my college friends on facebook were having babies or announcing their exciting news. We slowly told our families and once it was no longer our secret, I felt much more vulnerable.

Labor Day weekend, Jason’s parents came into town and we finally had the chance to tell them. Something happened that weekend and once again I fell apart. Jason looked at me the following Tuesday and said, “hey you have not had your …… and maybe you should take a test just to see; you have been awfully emotional here lately”. I said no immediately explaining to him that I was terrified to take another test and did not want to put myself through that disappointment; setting aside what we had just been through. Well, my darling husband, being so persistent, kept on me all night. Finally, once he had headed to the computer to do some work, I went into the bathroom and took one of the tests I had bought the first time without him knowing. In the meantime of me trying to prove him wrong, two little pink lines waved right back into my face, THREE TIMES. My first reaction was pure shock, and then I snapped out of it and went to get Jason. I calmly asked him to come to the bedroom and when he saw what was on the bathroom counter, he was grinning ear to ear. What did I do, lost it once again. My thoughts were, “Can this be possible? Is this real? It must be human error.” I then thought about the possibility of my HCG levels not dropping after the miscarriage and the test could be reading a false positive. I did not sleep at all that night; my mind ran wild and all I wanted to do was cry.

The next morning I ran to my friend’s room at work, she had twin girls in June and I am using her doctor. I told her the situation and she said I should call Dr. Laden right away, which is what I did. Later that day the nurse practitioner called and said to be in the office in twenty minutes. So I left work and went straight there to have my first blood work done. I was told to come back Friday, September 11 for one more test. When I left that day, they said they would call me the following Monday with the results. Great, a whole weekend to wait and wonder; just what I needed. That Friday was our first pep rally for football, which I run, so my mind went right back to work because we had about fifteen service men and women coming to be honored. September 11, 2009 was also my parent’s 27th Wedding Anniversary which makes the day unforgettable. Before coming back to the school for the football game, I had to go home and take care of our Maddie girl. When I got in my car to drive home, I checked my phone and I had one missed call. It was the doctor’s office and they had left a message. I was not expecting the call till Monday. Jason had already headed home because he had to be back earlier so I HAD to check the message alone. It said, “Ashley, your blood work looks wonderful! Your levels have doubled and we need you to call first thing Monday morning to schedule your first OB appointment”. I bet you cannot guess what I did after hearing that, that’s right; I cried all the way home. I could barely see out my window and I just wanted Jason. I was pregnant, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

We had to wait a full week until our appointment. I kept thinking I cannot be more than three weeks along, surely. Well after all the questions and Jason’s favorite, the bag with all the free stuff, we finally got to see our little Baby G. You could already see the little black dot palpitating. You could not hear the heart beat, but God made sure we saw it. I was already six weeks along. That’s right; I got pregnant two and a half weeks after miscarrying. My doctor joked that she thought I was just in for a follow-up appointment but was elated to see us on happier terms. After leaving the appointment, I think I was either in pure denial or shock; maybe even both. It was not until my eight week appointment that the emotional surge hit. We heard the heartbeat and it was a strong 173 bpm and there were two visible arms and two distinctive legs.

We decided to tell our parents and Lindsey October 16 at a home football they were coming down to. The amazing thing is that they have not all been down at the same time since we moved to Magnolia in 2007. Once again God made it possible and got them all here safely for the most exciting news ever. Jason and I toyed with many ideas of how to tell them; put it in the Herald Democrat or order M&M’s with the news. We knew whatever we did, we wanted to make it special and exciting. So we combined our ideas into one and came up with our plan. I have 12 cheerleaders on my Varsity team and I had them in on the plan. I ordered 6 pink and 6 blue balloons and hide them in a room during the football game. We had two bags put together, each with pacifiers, monogrammed bibs that read “I Love Gigi” and “I Love Nana”, and a picture frame with the sonogram picture in it. I had text added to the bottom that read “COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!”. After the game, our parents came down onto the track where Jason and I were and the cheerleaders had the balloons and the bags ready. Once I cued them, they came running. Complete shock and rolling tears was all that happened. My mom was in total shock and it was not until she saw the picture that it clicked. Jason’s mom was just elated but at first thought the balloons were for my mom’s birthday which was four days away. We pulled off a pretty good surprise and it was so worth the wait. After the game we called all the family and spread the news. It was such a wonderful weekend with our families. Saturday night we went to Maggiano’s down by the Galleria and had dinner. I hated to see them all leave Sunday.

Today, October 29, we had our 12 week check-up and everything looked great. Little Baby G would not stay still. When the technician would try to take the measurements she needed for the tests we were doing, the little thing would literally hunker down and jump from the bottom of my uterus to the top. You could see the long legs and arms, compared to 8 weeks, and the heart rate was 160 bpm. It was like it was jumping on a trampoline. We were thrilled to see such a huge change from 8 weeks to 12 weeks. God is good and we thank everyone who is praying for us for a healthy little baby and pregnancy. What truly amazes me is how things happened so quickly again and it reassures Jason and I that this little gift was truly meant to happen and that God wanted us to have this baby. I thank Him every day. We are so excited for the journey that lies ahead.

Happy 27th Anniversary

We love you very much! Congrats on 27 years of marriage. You two are the best parents a daugther could ask for. Love you.

Aren't They Cute.........

Jason and I are so lucky to have McKinley and Brennan as our niece and nephew. They are such fun kids and they love their Bubba and Ash. We miss them dearly as they are spending a year (yes Jennifer and Tristan, just one year) in South Carolina taking in the beach. We can not wait to see you at Christmas! Love you bunches.

When it rains, it pours...............

So today justifies and adds to the list of "Why I want the year 2009 to be done and gone". So Jas and I go to the movies to watch "Time Travelers Wife" and with only 20 minutes left, the movie melts and they are unable to fix it. The screen goes completely white. So we leave and get our money back thinking that lunch will make up for the movie. We walk into our regular weekend hot spot, "Chuy's" and there is a 45 minute wait. Might I remind you there is no one waiting and there are tables empty everywhere. I politely asked why such a long wait and they reply, "Our kitchen asked us to limit tables". So, once we finished eating and returned home, the topper on the cake hit me, a terrible headache. So I spent two and half hours lying in bed trying to rid myself of the pain. Now I know many of you are thinking, "Wow, this has ruined her year?". I promise there is more to my frustration then a melted movie and a long wait at Chuy's. Sometimes you feel like with ever corner you turn there is a wall and when it rains, it pours; well that is how I felt today. But this is one of those posts that I just needed to vent.

Blake and Jennifer

All the cousins at rehearsal.
My wonderful husband. Yes we match.

The beautiful bride.

The wedding party.

The happily married couple.

Another archive from July. On July 18, 2009 my younger cousin Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Blake Thorndike, in Plano, Texas. It was a beautiful wedding and Jason and I want to congratulate them both. May God bless you with health and happiness throughout your life. Here's to the Thorndikes!!!!!

D-I-R-T

I had to title this post appropriately because that is pretty much all I ate while four wheeling in Red River, New Mexico; DIRT. Jason and I spent five days with his dad, Teresa, and his brother up in the mountains riding a total of 153 miles on four wheelers. My dad also got the opportunity to meet us up there for two days. He only works two and half hours from Red River. I really enjoyed spending time with him. He was like a kid in a candy store loving every minute of it. We had dirt in our ears and wore dirt sunglasses even when we took our glasses off. We covered so many trails and saw some truely beautiful landscape. We rode to Goose Lake which is an amazingly beautiful spot located 8 miles up the mountain. The weather was in the 70s during the day and 40s during the evening. We also got to go see The Gorge. Wow. We all had a blast and miss the cool weather!

Jason's belated birthday post :(

So this is extremely late, but things have been really busy and hectic at our house. With football starting and cheer camp I have not had time to sit at the computer and update things. Good news is, I am starting to mark things off slowly but surely. So Jason's birthday was July 21, 2009 and we celebrated with just he and I. I took him to his favorite steak house "Saltgrass" and we came home and had cake. He had to work that day so we only had the evening together. It was low key and relaxed and that is what he likes. Every year we have a running tradition with his birthday present. I always get him the NCAA Football game for whatever game system he has. (I always forget and have to get a gift receipt) Anyway, this year I got him "Tiger Woods" and he loves it. As does our neighbor. So to my wanna be golf star, I love you babe and I am glad you had a wonderful birthday.

I know I am behind

So in looking over our summer, we have been gone a total of four weeks periodically to different places. We spent a week in Sherman with family, a week in Florida at Disney World, and a little over a week in New Mexico four wheelin' and going to my cousin, Jennifer's wedding. I am mentally and physically exhausted but back to the swing of things. I started back to work on Monday July 20th and will leave for cheer camp on Wednesday, July 29th. Jason has football camp next week and then starts Two-a-days August 3rd. So we have offically started working again. I guess we can say, summer is over.

I need to post about our New Mexico trip, Jennifer's wedding and Jason's birthday. I need more time. I promise I will get these things up soon or at least my Christmas :) We want to thank everyone who reads our blog and stays interested in us. Sometimes we seem a little boring, but i would not change anything about us. I have talked in previous posts about how sometimes my mind runs wild and Jason and I have done lots of praying for our families and friends here lately. In thinking of this we would like to ask that all of our friends and family add us into your prayers. It gives me a piece of mind and reassurance in our everyday lives. If your reading this we pray for you daily!

July 4th Weekend........ A little late!

Happy 4th of July!

Brennan Williams

Brennan opening up all his new toys.
My sister-in-law made these cakes. Pretty cool. She may be the worst blogger around, but she has got skills in the kitchen! :)

I am very excited about this program I bought that makes all kinds of cool stuff. This is my first little project so it is a little rough around the edges. My friend Ashley Boothe "inspired" me to get creative, because, let's face it; we do not have time to scrapbook for real. So why not go digital. Much cheaper I must say.
So I know I am posting this early, but I wanted to wish my precious baby nephew a Happy Birthday from his Bubba and Ash. He is turning 1 year old on July 14 and we wish he would stop growing. We love you very much.

Disney World

"It's Tough to be a Bug" Show at Animal Kingdom.
On the streets at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Front entrance of Magic Kingdom.
Downtown Disney
At the airport Disney store.

Jason and I just got back from Walt Disney. We went with my in-laws Tommy, Nancy, sister-in-law Jennifer and niece and nephew, McKinley and Brennan. We had such a good time. We left for Orlando Monday, June 22 and met everyone at the airport. So here is what we did:

Monday: Not much went on. We settled into our rooms, which were awesome and headed to Downtown Disney. We all ate a restaurant called T-Rex, which was similar to the Rainforest Cafe. It was themed with an underwater bar scene, an ice cave, and dinosaurs on every wall. We then headed back to our rooms for an early morning.

Tuesday: We went to Magic Kingdom first. I will never forget McKinley's face when we cleared the trees and she saw the castle for the first time in real life. Priceless. Her face was aglow the entire day. We had reservations at Crystal Palace for lunch and got to take pictures with Pooh and the gang. Brennan was not too thrilled about the characters. He was terrified. Some of our favorite rides were "It's A Small World", "Haunted Mansion", "Splash Mountain", and "Big Thunder Mountain". I was soooo disappointed that "Space Mountain" was closed for renovations. It is one of my favorite rides. We really enjoyed the "Jungle Cruise", Minnie's house, "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "The Mad Tea Party". McKinley was so funny when we did "Stitch's Great Escape". This was the first ride of the day and it terrified her. She kept saying "What is happening to me?" and "I don't know about this". It was pitiful but adorable at the same time. We were at the park from 10am to 12am. It was definitely a long day, but well worth it. We ended the day with an amazing firework show which neither kids liked because of the loud sounds.

Wednesday: We then went to Disney's Hollywood Studios. This was a great place because there were lots of shows to see that everyone could do together. We got to experience the American Idol stage with real people competing for a golden ticket to move to the front of the line in the "ACTUAL" American Idol tryouts. This was really cool and all three of the contestants we saw were good. We got to see the Muppet 3-D show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Fantasmic!, and the Lights, Motors, Action! stunt show. The stunt show was incredible and pretty amazing. Each car goes through a set of four tires after every show. After the stunt show we sprinted to see the Studio Backlot Tour. Of all the times I have been to Disney, this was the first time I have ever been on this ride. It takes you behind the scenes of how they make the costumes and props. Their was so much going on while walking down the streets of Hollywood Studios; bands, acts, and character greetings. We got to take pictures with Monsters Inc. characters and even got to see the long lost Power Rangers. I have to say that I was really disappointed with the Rangers. I waited in line to get my picture taken with the Pink Ranger and she took off when I was third in line. If she only knew I use to want to be her when I was kid............... We all have dreams that will never be fulfilled!!! Hahahahaha. Anyway, the Rockin' Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror made up for it. I love these two rides. Jason and Jennifer had never ridden either so I was pretty excited when they agreed to ride with me. Me, Nancy, and Jennifer rode Rockin' Roller Coaster and the picture is worth a thousand words. Then me, Jason, and Jennifer rode Tower of Terror and Jason was so nervous. He does not do roller coasters because he gets severe motion sickness, not that he is afraid, he just did not want to spend the rest of the evening sick. I am proud of you babe. You did so good and he even like it. For lunch we ate at the 50's Prime Time Cafe and this was an experience. They talk to you like back in the day. There were three rules: No elbows on the table, use your manners, and eat your veggies. Jason ask our waiter for more Sprite because we had been in the heat for quite some time and the waiter returned with 10 Sprites and a load of straws. We were all laughing because Jason was speechless which does not happen too often. Then the waiter came back with a map of the park and he had circled all the bathrooms and made Jason a bed wetters guide. Too funny! Then Tommy did not eat the green beans on his plate and wanted dessert. Our waiter told him he could not have dessert because he failed to eat his veggies. Instead the waiter brought him a plate of green beans, with whipped cream on top and sprinkles.

Thursday: My in-laws were only with us in Florida for three days so we spent our last day with them at the water park; Typhoon Lagoon. I love this park because it is set on a ship wreck with trees everywhere. When Disney does decorations, they do not miss a step. Everything is done to a tee. We rode everything over and over and over again, swam with the sharks and sting rays twice, and battled the outrageous wave pool. I was so proud of McKinley. She rode all by herself in the big kid tubes and just came bebop pen down those water slides. She is growing up too fast. We were all water logged, but enjoyed the sun-filled day. Later that night Jason and I went down and walked around Downtown Disney. It was nice to slow down and enjoy the night life.

Friday: This was our first day, just Jason and I. We went to Animal Kingdom and had the best time. We saw some of the most amazing shows and experienced some pretty cool rides for the first time. We saw "It's tough to be a Bug", "Festival of the Lion King", and the best of all "Finding Nemo-The Musical". The Musical was phenomenal and known to be the best show running right now in the United States. We went on The Kilimanjaro Safari, rode "Dinosaur", and even braved "Expedition Everest" (Yet another roller coaster that Jason rode). There was a water rapids ride that I avoided all day, but Jason really wanted to ride it. Then I thought, "Hey, if we wear our rain ponchos we will not get wet" and we were only ones that walked away afterwards dry. I know; brilliant. We spent another night at Downtown Disney doing our shopping and ate at Planet Hollywood Cafe. We got VIP sitting right in front by the DJ. It was a wonderful evening with my husband.

Saturday: It was our last day, but our flight did not leave till 5:55 pm from Orlando. So we got up and went swimming. While we were in the pool, we saw the coolest thing. A plane was spelling out "TRUST JESUS" in the sky. We took it as a sign for various things in our life and it was strange because no one else around was making a big deal about it. We cleaned up and went back to Downtown Disney to eat lunch before the cab was picking us up at the hotel. Downtown Disney was only two blocks from where we were staying so it made it nice; granted we walked way too much. My feet were killing me every night. Once we arrived at the airport we had to fly to New Orleans, switch planes, then onto Dallas Love. When we were in New Orleans, our flight was delayed due to "Operation Delays" in Tampa where our plane was coming from. It was the same day the plane carrying TV man, Billy Mays, tire busted and left debris all over the runway in Tampa. In the end, we made it home safe and headed to Houston early Monday morning.
*********Lots of things had changed since the last time I was there. You can make your own anything. There is make your own Mr. Potato Head, make your own My Little Pony, make your own Light Saber, and make your own Treasure Trunk from Pirates of the Caribbean. We bought tons of the Mr. Potato Head parts. Also, there are people virtually on every corner "trading pins". They spend tons of money for these pins and then walk around and camp out in Downtown Disney to trade pins. Crazy, I know. However, the employees of Disney are given 'special' pins with little Mickey heads on them that you can only get by trading with an employee. I saw this lady wearing a 'special' pin with three triangles on it and yes, you guessed it. I traded. :) I am a Tri Delt and the three triangles are representational of our sorority. The pin was ugly, but it is so neat because it had triangles on it.

Kangaroo's!!!!!!! (A little inside joke)

On June 20, 2009 Scott Hopewell and Ashlee Pollard were married at Tanglewood Resort. Scott and Jason graduated high school together and Ashlee and I graduated together. We have many memories together as we both started dating around the same time; long ago. We went to many formal dances together, hung out at the lake, and acquired Australian accents along the way to name a few. We are excited for them to start this part of their relationship together. Congrats Scott and Ashlee Hopewell. We wish you the best.
