Valentine's Day 2014

Valentine's Day was spent with my three Valentine's!  I could not have asked for a better way to spend it then with my family!  We had no plans and then I thought we could go to the Rain Forest Cafe, which is fifteen minutes from our house, and celebrate our family!  Luckily they had a few reservation spots open!  Jason pretty much makes everyday Valentine's for me so the day was our typical Friday!  Work, laundry, etc. We will do something together later!  Daddy got all his girls flowers; Mommy got roses, Ave got tulips, and Ans got hydrangeas.  It was pretty funny because Jas wrote on the bathroom mirror for me a sweet little message and Ave was upset nothing was wrote for her.  So a hurried to the other bathroom downstairs that she hadn't been to yet and wrote her a quick message from Jas.  Then she wanted to trade flowers!  I told Jas I think I'm competing with my almost four year old for the Valentine spot!  Hahaha!  Funny girl!  The Valentine Fairy, or Cupid, brought Ave the Anna doll from Frozen and Ans a toy remote because she is always putting ours in her mouth!
My favorite thing of the day came from the card Jason gave me.  He wrote, "God definitely got 4 things right; You, Avery, Ansley, and us."  Anytime I get a card from him, I cry.  He loves me so much and he always makes sure I know it.  We feel in love in 1998, celebrated our first Valentine's in 1999, and have been growing our love with our family ever since.  Love this man so much!

It was this little cuties first Valentine's Day!  Love her to pieces!
This precious little lady brings so much love to our family!
She loved her surprise of going to Rain Forest.....we even ordered the Volcano!  Too much sugar!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day 2014!

Happy 8 Month Birthday

My sweet Ansley Grace, you are the happiest 8 month old I could ever imagine, and you are loved so so much by your family.  I could not imagine life without my girls and I love that you are starting to really show your personality!  Your smile, your smell, your giggle, uh, I love it all!   I love that you are trying to babble all the time and my favorite is when I am driving and your are back there just talking up a storm!  It is the sweetest sound!  I can't believe you are 8 months old, four months shy of one year.  How does it go by so quick?  I look back at your sister in her seat and her feet hang down so far....and before I know it I will look back and that will be you!  You are a mover, so determined to get what you want.  You are standing up on everything, crawling like crazy, transferring from the couch to the coffee table, and eating everything.  I nicknamed you "Baby Goat"!  You will try crawling over my legs and literally plunge to the other side.  Your poor head should be so bruised with all the bumps and tumbles you take.  I wish you would just lay in my arms and love on me......believe me, I try, and wiggle right back to the floor where your sister and toys are!  Very bittersweet to your momma.  I cherish your restless nights where you are so tired, but can't fall asleep except when I rock you.  I would sleep in your rocker in your room if I thought I could.  Writing this, I get choke up because your little picture is looking right back at me below and I know that you and your sister are growing so fast.  I heard a bible verse the other day at MOPS that encouraged moms to enjoy every season of life.  I love this season, my babies are little, I should own stock in baby wipes, toys are everywhere, I am probably wearing some sort of spit, slobber, or snot, and I you love that both consume your mommy and daddy's life.  I know all will change in the coming years and I will miss this hustle and bustle of life with babies.  You girls will never know how much we love you!  The only stats I have for you are below:

Clothes:  6-9 months
Eating: 5 6oz bottles and one baby food with cereal
Teeth:  Bottom two

Happy 8 Month Birthday Sweet Ansley!

 Baby feet!  Love them!
Goofy face, but I see your two teeth!
 Two peas in a pod!
Matching outfits from Aunt Kim and Uncle Wayne!

Warmer Days

So on the days that it has been in the 70s between all the crazy weather, we have been outside.....no indoor play.  Every time we have warmer days all I want to do is work in the yard or plant flowers.  I have held off on the flowers because you never know, but I am so ready!  Here are some pics of the girls and some with our sweet neighbor girls enjoying the bounce house and the sun!
Ansley was not having it!  She thought I was leaving her.....poor baby!  She warmed up to it though!
 Sweet face!
 Beautiful girl!
Avery acting as if she were an expert in washers!

 Loving the bounce house now!

Trying to figure out how to get out of her walker!
 Terrorizing the neighborhood!
She loves to play with sissy's soccer ball!  It is so funny!  Avery starts outdoor soccer next week and we are all so excited!

February Snow Day

We have had a crazy Winter so far.  One day it will be 70 and the next day we will have single digit temperatures with snow and ice.  I definitely am not complaining, I love cold weather with snow and all, but I wish the weather would stay consistent.  I know, I know, we live in Texas....unpredictable weather.  I just feel like the kids have been so sickly all winter due to the constant changes.  We had a little snow and sleet a few weeks ago, at the first of February, and Avery loved catching the snow on her tongue!  It didn't last long, but it pretty while it was here!  These are some pictures I got before leaving for school.  Ansley had a bad cough and stayed inside looking through the window.  Poor girl!

Our super small snowman we made after school!
