"Punkins"

So just as she did last year, Avery loves "punkins"!  And we have collected many!  Our front porch is decorated and our back porch is decorated.  I made her this super cute tutu for her pumpkin patch pictures and that may be why I procrastinate so much with big posts like this......we take so many pictures!  I can never just choose four or five to share!  Anyway we visited the Original Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound, that area is beautiful, and then we went to The Big Orange Pumpkin Patch!  We love Big Orange because it is so country like and Avery loves getting to feed the animals!

A blogging RUT

I have been in a blogging rut here lately!  Not sure why, it just seems like life sometimes takes you for a whirl and this has been last on my mind. I have not even posted our Disney pictures.....Really Ashley.  It will happen eventually.  Since our trip we have gone to two pumpkin patches, had Avery's last soccer game, and then a pumpkin hunt at Avery's school which is where I teach as well.  I think since Jason was gone two weeks straight that when he got home I said adios to the blog for a while!  Hopefully I can get caught up before Christmas!!!!!

A Tribute to an Amazing and Worthy Woman!!!!!

This post is dedicated to my absolutely gorgeous wife and the most amazing mother of our little princess.  Rarely do you get the chance to really appreciate someone who is so special to you and share that with others.  In my job I am away from home a lot and I have an ample amount of time to reflect on my blessings and what I am thankful for.  As many of you know who follow this blog, Ashley is such a special woman, who is so talented in so many ways and such a kind hearted, loving, Christian woman as I am sure many of you would agree with that statement.  I have had the great priviledge of having Ashley in my life now for 14 wonderful years.  She has taught me so many things over the years and helped me be the man I am today, and our love has grown exponentially by leaps and bounds.  We truly have a love for eachother that is undefinable and unbelievable.  As you know, Ashley will do anything in the world for anyone, all while glowing with kindness and that beautiful smile on her face.  She will be there for you when times are hard, and when times are easy, she will lend an ear if you need someone to talk too and know exactly what to say when you need that support.  Or give a shoulder to cry on when your hurting and be able to fix any problem you might have.  She will nurture you when your not feeling well and even when she is not feeling well.  She carries so much on her back and still finds the time to make sure her family is taken care of in the way they need her the most.  She is such a hard worker and is constantly going 90 to nothing to make sure everything and everyone is taken care of before she takes time for herself.  She is so smart and intelligent and has made myself and her family so proud of the woman she has become today.  She achieves excellence through hard work and unselfishness.  She takes such pride in not relying on others and working hard to get what she wants.  She is such an independent and goal oriented woman.  She is so deserving of everything she gets in life.  I often consider myself to be the luckiest man alive because I get spend the rest of my life with her, hold her hand, walk beside her, and call her my wife and very best friend.  Ashley is my rock and she is the glue that keeps our family together.  I would do anything in this world for her because I know she would do the same.  As I said earlier, I am away from home a lot which requires Ashley to carry an even heavier burden.  Never at anytime do I worry about things that go wrong at home because I know she can handle it.  She is now experienced in home repairs, sprinkler repairs, vehicle repairs, bills, yard care, and any other challenges that may arise while I am away from home.  She does all this while being the very best mother to Avery that any child could ask for.  As you can tell from above, she is truly a special person and if she is this way to others, you can only imagine how wonderful she is with Avery.  I often catch myself when I am at home just watching Ashley and Avery interact.  They have such a special bond that only a mother and daughter can have.  It is so much fun watching them dance to crazy music, paint fingernails together, work in the flowers, and many many other things they do together.  They share so many of the same interests and excitement about things.  I am amazed at how well Ashley was prepared to be a mother, it was almost like it was programmed into her by God because as soon as Avery was born, Ashley knew exactly what to do when she was hurting, hungery, tired, or unhappy.  Also at how well she is able to provide for Avery and take such good care of her and teach her so many of her basic skills.  Avery looks up to her so much and oftens calls her mommy a "princess" and tells her mommy how pretty she is and how much she loves her.  This is an honor because Avery knows her princesses and knows how beautiful they are.  I am so glad that Ashley is able to stay home with Avery this year in this time of her life when Avery is so impressionable, because I would love Avery to be exactly like her mommy in everyway.  If you ever get to spend any time with Avery, and I am not being partial, she is the most well-behaved, well-mannered, and beautiful inside and out little girl you will ever be around.  That is a testament to Ashley being her mother and the loves she shares for her.  Avery loves her mommy so much and wants to be exactly like her and can be found by her side at all times.  They share perfume (mommy's expensive stuff), lipstick/chapstick, shoes (Avery loves her mommy's shoes), clothes (she thinks all of her mommy's shirts and blousses are pretty dresses), hair secrets/bows, and fashion sense.  She wants everything her mommy has.  I love watching them interact with each other.  Avery is so blessed to have Ashley is her life and I know she will appreciate her as much as I do as she continues to grow.  I know in speaking for Avery she can only hope to be at least half the woman her mom is when she grows up.

Ashley, I love you so much and I am so thankful you are in my life.  You are my very best friend and I love being with you every minute of every day.  When I am away, I count the seconds till I get to be with you again.  Your love for me brings me so much comfort and strength.  You have such an awesome way of bringing so much joy and happiness to my life.  Thank you for everything you do for our family and for everything you do for me.  You put me on a pedestal, but you are the one who is worthy of this recognition.  You are truly my angel, my gift from God and I thank him everyday for you.  May God continue to bless you and our family!!!
