This weekend was quite warm for early May. So on Saturday we just hung out at the house and let Avery play in the water after we ran a few errands and went grocery shopping. She had a great time getting wet and making a mess.
She loved her pool this year! She wasn't sure about the little pool last year unless mommy was in. And you can tell by the looks of it that it is not very big.

Sunday after church we ran down to the pool for the first time this year! Our pool actually opened April 14th but it did not seem right going swimming in April. The water felt great and Avery was like a little fishy. She was apprehensive at first. I did not figure she would remember it from last year but she seemed to have fun. The first two weeks in June we are taking swimming lessons, parent and toddler class, and I hope this really encourages her to feel safe in the water.
Sunday after nap time we went over to Clint and Jennifer Wren's house for dinner. What great friends! We let the kids play, had dinner on the back porch, and enjoyed the awesome breeze that blew through. Next dinner we will host and we look forward to many more get togethers with the summer approaching!

Ever since her birthday, Avery has asked about her bounce house. She told me yesterday, "Mommy, I need my bounce house back." Too funny. So daddy had her a surprise when mommy got home.

The surprise! A Little Tikes Bounce House. We took the recommendation from my sister-in-law who has this for her three kids and they love it. Avery loved it too! Oh what fun she will have this summer!
The weather was great and she had a ball!
Off to dinner we go, and this is all Avery wanted! Chowing down on corn!
