Where did the time go? It felt like it was Thanksgiving and then the next day was Christmas. This year was hard for me, maybe a little hormonal, but we did lots of activities leading up to Christmas and unfortunately Jason had to miss them all; ICE, North Pole Express, Highland Park Carriage Ride, etc. Our fear was that Jas would not make it home for Christmas, but being the sneaky and ever so sweet husband and daddy he is, he surprised us and was home through the New Year. I was in tears and overjoyed that he was standing in our front doorway! Best Christmas present ever! So we were very busy with family get togethers, Christmas Eve service, and Christmas Day with the beautiful snow which made the day perfect. My dad was home and we had an awesome Christmas Break! I could not have asked for more. We are very blessed and I was very thankful that I had ALL my family together. As you know I can never just pick a few pictures for my blog and I take thousands of pictures. Here are my "favorites"!
Highland Park Carriage Ride
Avery seeing the carriage pull up with the horses! I also had the pleasure of running into one of my sorority sisters from Tech, Lauren Anderson, right before getting on. Such a sweet smile and familiar face!
The Village was decorated beautifully as always! We have had this tradition for many years and it is always enjoyable; minus the sassy behavior from Ave and me falling apart missing Jason. :/ We had dinner at Patrizio's which was yummy and then headed out!
Love my girl!
This was after the horse used the bathroom......funny girl kept saying, "that smells yucky".
Christmas #1
Thank you Aunt Kim and Uncle Wayne! Her first dance bag!!!!!!
All the cousins and spouses in the wrapping paper!
Betty, Uncle Wayne, Aunt Sandy, Aunt Kim, Gammie, Mom, Dad, Pops
The cousins with Pops (side note, this dress makes me look huge. I know I'm pregnant but this was a bad choice.......)
The cousins with their families (missed Adam, Tiffany, and Conner)
My family! So glad we were all together!
My heart!
Adventures of Santa the Elf
Snowball fight

Christmas Eve: I'm outta here! He was headed to the North Pole to tell Santa Avery had made the Nice list. Look real close at all the tags and the letter. Daddy is good!
Christmas Baking
The hottest Party Mix you will ever taste! Hahaha! My neighbor's recipe and Jason loves it! We made cookies, fudge, and all kinds of goodies to name a few!
Turtles that Avery and Jas assisted me with!
Christmas Eve Service
You know she likes her picture with random things; mannequins, metal figures, wooden bears, so why not Santa! So here you go!
Precious girl before we left!
One of favorite pictures taken this season!
Listening to the Pastor's wife read to the children.
And the story was too good to stay awake for service. Bless her heart. She was even snoring and several people turned around. They smiled when they saw her! Sorry!
Christmas #2
Gigi and Papaw gave her this pillow!
And she loves her new Minnie Mouse camera!

Christmas Morning
Santa was good to Avery!
Santa went light this year due to all the sprinkles!
And she woke up not feeling good. Not the way I saw Christmas morning going. She got sick once, took a bath, her fever broke, and she was ready to go after a few hours of resting.
Poor baby
Getting interested in her presents

Breakfast casserole and fruit! Yummy!
Who knew a jacket would be so exciting!

Day after Christmas
Avery had her surgery on December 27th so we played hard the day after Christmas and did all our exchanges to make her day fun! She loves her new game mommy and daddy got her, Elefun!
Christmas #5
We had Christmas with my Dad's side of the family but somehow the camera never got pulled out.....sad face. It was the Sunday after Avery's surgery so I'm sure I was just exhausted and did not even think about it. It was our house and we had some yummy potato soup that I had never made before and it turned out super good! Ready for another batch!
Merry Christmas 2012
